	I own BDP 3000 region 2 and this doesn't work for me, at least not for Blu-ray discs. Can anyone give some more info, maybe I'm doing something wrong. Thanx a lot and kepp excellent work.
	Hack will be for DVD discs only DVD discs regions are 1 to 6 BluRay disc regions are A to C These are two different types of discs
	I have a Philips BDP3012 and i've tried everything and it just doesn't work, i dont know if i'm doing something wrong but when i press the numbers 1389310 on remote control, it appears an 'x' meaning its invalid and nothing happens.. i still cannot see my region 1 dvds
	Please note that Philps have upgraded the Driver to BDP0800. The 1389310 hack does not work on this version.

	I just tried this code today. And the result was successful. Both for the DVD and Blu-ray Disk. The player was a region 2 (B) one and now I can play region 1 DVDs and region A blu-rays.

	In order to clarify the case: After I entered the code, when I checked the region lock info I saw that while DVD is 0, BD is still region B. But I don't know how, I can play BD from B region. I played Lost season 5 and The Matrix.
	I've found something. It should work for all Philips users. No disc in tray Press Home Scroll to settings enter: 13893108520 You'll get all info. I still got BD region on B! Is it possible that there is nobody who can solve this out?
	I got something else to! Some USB test menu! 1. Make sure there is no disc in the player when you turn it on. 2. Move to settings. 3. Using the remote control, key in the following: Pause, 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9. can someone define what is this?

	Just bought one in Slovakia (Datart) for 149e and hack mentioned here worked (tested only region 1 DVD, no BD yet). It is model BDP3000/12 made in Poland. 	On another player (Seiki BD660) that uses the same/similar chipset, after entering the code 8520 and getting into the info menu, you can use the up/down arrow keys to go to BD Region Code, then change the region (1 for Region A, 2 for Region B, 4 for Region C). *Maybe* this will also work for the Philips.
	using 1389310 code (and it DOES work,got player 6 months ago and have latest firmware), the 0 at the end denotes region,so if u put 1389312 it changes to region 2 etc,usefull if u have a warranty claim as Phillips do not like unlocked players.

	Hey guys. Here’s a simple step by step guide on how to convert Philips Blu-Ray Player models BDP3000 ONLY from Region B to Region A so that you can have access to US Region A locked titles! 	Hi. I bought a Philips BDP3200 (region 2) The hack works with the philips remote provided with the DVD player. NOTE: After step 1-3 I had to hit 'Enter'. The hack was checked by me using the helpful code that is also provided in the comment above. I then checked if the player is now region free by playing a region 1 DVD 'Rahxephon'. A great anime series. I will post once again when i have a region 1 Blue Ray so i can check if it is also blue ray region free :)

The good thing is that with this hack I am able to play DVDs that are PAL encoded DVDs! Great option for those that have PAL DVDs!
	I managed to unlock a confirmed region A Something Weird Blu Ray with the following hack: with the disc in the open tray, go to Set Up and the Advanced option, select Restore Default Settings and load up the disc. If a message appears saying that the disc is the wrong region, press Top Menu on the remote and the disc menu should load and the disc should be playable. I've had this player for some time and this is the first Region A disc I have tried in it. When I first loaded the disc and it showed the wrong region message I didn't proceed any further and tried the above later so I'm not sure if restoring the default settings changes anything or not. Perhaps other users would like to try a disc and find out. I've previously enabled the player to region 1 DVD with the usual code via the remote so it now ssems to play both region 2/B and 1/A on DVD and Blu Ray. I hope this helps others.
	Correction to previous post - despite all appearances, including the region code message that appears when the disc is loaded, the disc that was tried seems to be region free although it has been confirmed previously by others as region A. Please therefore assume that the above information is not valid to play locked A discs on the BDP3200. Although listed as region A locked, Something Weird discs issued to date seem to be a mix of region free and region A locked. Apologies for any confusion.
	I've bought this blu-ray player today as a replacement for my previous Philips BD player (bdp3000). The region hack mentioned above is still valid. I only would like to remark that you have to press the enter/ok button after the numbers. Here a the specs of the unit: Modelname: bdp3200M2/12 Stroke ver: /12 Player sw: hq 00006531 Loader sw: 6d0700 8550 0700 Region code bd(b) dvd(0) (after het hack, yes it worked) I live in The Netherlands, bought the unit for just €65.- and just finished watching the R1 release of Bridge at Remagen

	This hack didn't work for me. At least, not completely. My player region codes were BD(B) DVD(2). Now they are BD(B) DVD(0). So, for DVD is region free but not for Blu-ray.
	i have found that to make this hack work you must resart the player for it to work
